No Party during SXSW this year.

It’s been a good run.. Lot’s of fun and fantastic networking.

Unfortunately, there won’t be a Spontaneous Speakeasy this year during SXSW in Austin.

NOMORE.ORG RETURNS TO AUSTIN, TEXAS TO “PARTY WITH A PURPOSE” (#sayNOMORE)

Presented by DELVE TEXASNEWTEK and TIVAMO.COM, the “NO MORE” event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2015 beginning at Noon in the “SPONTANEOUS SPEAKEASY” at the DELVE INN,  an exclusive and private venue located in the heart of the “Live Music Capital of the World” at 501B 6th Street, Austin, Texas. This is NOMORE.ORG‘s second year to have an event in Austin following “NO MORE Week”.

The “NO MORE” event – a “party with a purpose“, will be webcast live in its entirety at www.TivaMo.com/NoMore and will benefit the NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE and SAFE PLACE, an Austin, TX-based domestic violence/sexual assault organization. Online viewers will have the opportunity to donate to these important, charitable causes while watching the event live on TIVAMO.COM.

Event programming includes a diverse selection of bands, artists and special guests to include an appearance by Jane Randel, co-founder of NOMORE.ORG. Celebrity endorsements, door prizes, social media activities and other call-to-actions will help drive traffic to, and raise awareness of, NOMORE.ORG locally and online. The ground-breaking NOMORE Public Service Announcement that aired during the Super Bowl seen by 110 million people, will be shown at the event and on the webcast.

8mm added to Tuesday lineup

8mm to play Spontaneous Speakeasy Tuesday night.

8mm is a Rock band from Los Angeles, California. 8mm was started by Sean Beavan (who formerly worked with bands such as Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails and God Lives Underwater), and his wife Juliette Beavan. 8mm has toured internationally in countries such as the United Kingdom and Chile, as well as across the US and in parts of Canada. They released two albums. Their debut, appropriately titled Opener, was released independently. Their second, Songs to Love and Die By, was released on Curb Appeal Records.

8mm was featured in the popular television show One Tree Hill twice with their songs “No Way Back” and “Forever and Ever Amen”. The latter was featured in the episode “Songs to Love and Die By“, titled after their second album. They also remade a version of Carly Simon‘s “Nobody Does It Better” which was used in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Their song “Liar” was featured on Grey’s Anatomy and on the season finale of Dirt. MTV used the track “Give It Up” on its hit show Road Rules and “Never Enough” for a preview of an upcoming episode of The Real World: Sydney. Additionally “Forever and Ever Amen” was used for the second episode of CBS‘s Moonlight.
